This is a great book series overall, and this book appears to provide the unpredictable ending I thought it would have. All you find in this book is dead people, crumbling cities, and kids that can set themselves on fire or wipe other kids' memories. Alexandra Bracken is one of my favorite authors because of this series, especially because of her twists, and also because of how detailed she can be, and how brutal. Only problem I have with this series is, you really can't have a favorite character. I went through four favorite characters throughout this series because she killed all but one, who had his memory erased. You don't want to get attached to any characters in this series because they're probably going to die in the end anyways. It's great how she can make people get attached to characters though, just by making the character have such a positive personality. It's not great to kill the favorites though, like the nicest kid, or the guy that is super tough and saves kids, just to add a twist to your story. This book, and really the whole entire series overall, was really great throughout, I just wish I didn't have to constantly change my favorite character.

I liked the way you described the author's voice. It was very deep.
